jeffgeorge
I am thinking of slowly upgrading to an all RF-7 / RC-7 / RS-7 system. I currently have RF-3's / RC-3 / RS-3's and will have to upgrade slowly. What can I expect when moving to the RC-7 center? Will timbre matching be an issue, or will I be OK while I continue to save up for the RF-7's?
cjgeraci
Marksdad used that front line for awhile and liked it. He didn't notice any difference in matching. I also used that front line for a small time while on my Reference seven journey. I noticed a slight difference, but not enough to disturb me. I would go ahead and do it since the upgrade difference in dramatic, and you should get there any way you can. That plus the center carries the heaviest load in a 5.1. Carl. RickB
We use a RC-7 in our bedroom setup with RF-35s fronts and RF-3IIs for surrounds. It sounds great, go for it if you can.
marksdad
yup. i began with the rc3, but found it small, so i went to the 7 and walla everything balanced better, with the 3 i needed to keep my controls in hand, loud during dialog. and quickly tuned down during dynamic sceenes, it (the 7) will work great for the ref 3 set up and will work nicely for the 7's as well
