Coytee
My memory tells me several months ago, there was a gentleman that was going to cast a solid brass horn for the squawker. I recall some comments that it might ring or otherwise resonate and not sound good... but that it might look like dynamite. Anyway, that's what I recall in general. I'm just wondering if anything ever happened. Was the horn made, what's it look like, what's it sound like.
jt1stcav
This is the first thread on the subject that I know of...it's been about 9 months since I've heard anything more about Craig having brass horns casted. I'd like to know what happened (did they come out okay, how do they sound, so on and so forth).

colterphoto1
I do know Jason Bonham, son of Led Zep drummer John Henry Bonham, and he has three snare drums that are made of cast bronze. SOUNDS LIKE CANNONS GOING OFF. Remember that bronze is what bells are made of so they resonate in a particular fashion. I have a feeling that enough material and the resonant freq would be so low that they WOULD NOT RING. THis was Jason's theory. It might work, done right.
