Beginners question

Okay, I know this is a very VERY dumb question, but what the heck. I have NO experience with Home Theater systems, and my question is that when I buy the speakers, so they come with the wires I need to connect them to the receiver?

Probably not, dude. Other than computer speakers, I've never heard of a set of speakers that comes with cable.

I suspect your next question will go a little something like this: which cables should I get?

This is the perfect opportunity to fan the flames of an old debate -- do cables make a difference? Well, my friend, some say they do and some say they don't. I believe they do, but only in a system that is revealing enough to allow them to do so. Audio Advisor lets you audition cables for 30 days before you commit to the purchase, so you have only one excuse not to find out for yourself: the cost of snake oil cables.

Good luck, and don't forget to report your findings.

Kain,

I posed this same question to the board...

I say, save some money and buy from Radio Shack, Wal-Mart, or Target...

Wal-Mart is carrying Audio Research interconnects, and Target carries Gold RCA brand...

You'll save enough $$ to buy a few DVD's, perhaps.

Is "Monster Cable" really worth it...
