franczyk
Is there a big difference between the Cornwall 1 and 2 when using them with SET amplification? Thanks
franczyk
The reason I ask, is because I wonder if the Cornwall changed impedance from 10+ ohms to 5 ohms like the Heresy did when it went from Heresy 1 to Heresy 2. Ive seen the Belgian review of the Cornwall 2, which shows impedance dropping to around 5 ohms... and I am wondering if the Cornwall 1 was much higher, or was it essentially the same? Thanks
jt1stcav
Good question, but I'd imagine that sonically there'd be no difference. Hopefully those who own both types will enlighten us.
Daddy Dee
Klipsch specs state that both Cornwall and Cornwall II are 8ohms. On Heresy's, I could not tell any difference between Heresy and Heresy II on my 2A3 amps.
franczyk
Yea, but both the Heresy and Heresy 2 are listed as 8 ohms nominally in the specs, but the measured impedance is quite different. The heresy has a minimum impedance of 10 ohms and the heresy 2 has a minimum of something like 5 ohms. Thats why Im wondering about the cornwalls. I have been hunting around in the Klipsch forum archives and elsewhere on the net and haven't found any evidence. I DO notice that almost everyone that uses the Cornwalls with SET are using Cornwall 1s.
