KT66
Any one tried these amps with KHs or LS ? Ed - FSR this file does not upload the others seem ok. These amps are probably what PWK had in mind for his KHs(when promoting high efficiency speakers), when he said: " What this country needs is a good 10W amplifier". He of course used, and liked, the Brooks 10W amplifier that used 2A3 o/p tubes in PP. "Its the first Watt that counts.." The Quad IIs are 12W Class A, and use (you guessed it) GEC KT66 output tubes and a GZ32 rectifier. Highly sought after in UK.

KT66
do you own these lovely 57s ? Great speaks and also a far cry from the Klipsch paradigm! They look mint. Once i nearly bought the 63s cheers
BEC
I bought the Quad 57s and Quad II amps as a set. They did sound very good, but the max of 100 db from the ESL was not for me. I sold the speakers and kept the amps. The guy I got them from had them set up in a small room (about 12 X 12 ft.) and in that setting, they were fantastic.
