legenux
Hi, a friend gave me a pair of RF3 front towers. One is series 1 and the latter is ii (RF3-ii). I measured the length of the cabinets and they seem to match. Also the two use the same woofers I think, based on the serial or ID imprinted on the front of the woofers 18A?..... My question is can I use these two together or they won't work well? Are they basically the same inside? Please shread some light. Thanks. Zen Traveler
I am no expert in this matter, but I think the only difference was that the RF-3 II has Monster cable and the RF-3 doesn't. Shouldn't be any sonic difference.IMO if a friend GAVE them to you they will work fine. That is the only light I can shread
legenux
If this is true, then I am very happy. Can anyone second this ? I was worried they are sonic different in sound, thus I would have to buy another RF3 to match the series 1 or 2, which is a bit hard to buy single. But thanks a lot . Zen Traveler
I call that a GREAT deal! I don't have friends like that. Now what you need to find is another pair of mismatched RF-3's and an RC-3 and you will be set!
meuge
Yeah, the speakers are pretty much identical. i think you can easily pair them up and start on a great music system.
