kohill
I bought a pair of Lancer speakers on Ebay a while back. They were cheap. I have heard of Lancer by Soundcraftsmen and Lancer by JBL. These don't say anything but Lancer and Santa Fe Springs,CA.They have wood veneer cabinents and sound quite nice. I A-B'd them with a pair of Boston HD-7's and the Lancers outplayed the Bostons. Any one know about these? Thanks

Marvel
Just my opinion, but I don't think those are JBL. I am pretty sure you would find JBL on them someplace. As long as you are happy with them, that is all that matters. I've got some no name equipment that I won't part with because I am happy with it. CaptnBob
While looking up something else - see "What did they cost" - I ran across several listings for Lancer loudspeakers in the 1979 and 1980 Audio equipment guides. Their prices ($34.50 to $359) and designs (acoustic suspension or vented bass, cone midranges, cone or dome tweeters) seem comparable to many other speaker companies of the time. If you post a model number, I might be able to look up the specifics for you.
