Champagne taste beer budget Posted April 20, 2005 Share Posted April 20, 2005 I heard her a few weeks ago or so on SNL or something, in bed with the tv on, old tv even, but she was doing a very smooth, jazzy style song that was actually quite good. I remember telling my wife that we should get the CD just to hear more of her in this style. Must have had a beverage that night, I'd totally forgotten about that show until just now. I have the CD and it's a very nice easy-listening jazzy style. I was very shocked because I don't care for her past rap stuff but on this CD she really shows her talents that she does have. She's somewhat like Natalie Cole but with stronger vocals. She has a reputation by many to be a very nice person and real, that's what people really like about her and is known to be far removed from any drug usuage, and that my friend is a very good thing for todays times as it seems these days, many people can't be strong enough to be themselves without drugs when being social. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

She actually performed here some years ago in a small little club, and yes she is talented. Probably regrets some of those choices she made in the past, but who doesn't, lol.
