I have not bid on or bought my second pair of OO Forte II's many times out of fear of this. One of these days there will be a pair within driving distance..... Hooked them up to an ARCAM Delta 90.2 75W SS amp, they worked well enough, and holy crap will these go LOUD. Then after listening for a bit, hooked them up to a Stromberg Carlson Stereo 8. Quite a noticeable difference, although there was nothing overtly wrong with them through mid fi SS, using them with tubes seems bring out a lot more of what they seem capable of. Listening to Nirvana Unplugged right now, which is sounding very nice. This is with a portable CD player plugged into a wall wart supply, curious to see how much more of a difference a better CD rig will make to the sound.
