When I got them home and removed the protective foam from the back of the speakers, I noticed that one had a broken binding post and a slight tear in the rubber surround of the 12" passive. Does anyone have an extra passive that he'd like to sell? Or is there any fix to this problem? The tear is only in the rubber surround... Frzninvt Posted May 19, 2005 Share Posted May 19, 2005 Fix the tear in the rubber surround with some silicone. Finding a replacement will be very tough. Klipsch no longer stocks them, they do pass through eBay on occassion. In fact I saw someone parting out a pair of KG4's I think the 12" passive on the back is the same as the Forte' but I am not 100% certain.
