rplace
A few months ago on DirecTV's Freeview I saw a Cake concert. I thought it was really nice in both sound and video. I have been looking here and there for a DVD of the concert with no luck. Anyone know if such a DVD exists or if any live Cake music is out there on DVD? Thanks, Rich
colterphoto1
Now I'm feeling old, never heard of em.
rplace
You have heard of them...you just don't know it. The guys in the band are our age (40-46). Short Skirt Long Jacket, He's going the Distance, Frank Sinatra are some of the more radio played songs. Really funny but smart lyrics. Go on line and buy the CD Comfort Eagle. If you don't like it I will pay you back for it. (This offer applies to CP1, not the lot of you cheap Ba$ta..s) Edit: link to bands site http://www.cakemusic.com/
colterphoto1
Thanks for the offer and link. Checked out the website link. I have heard a couple of their tracks, but not my cup of tea. Michael
Olorin
Along with Never There, Rock and Roll Lifestyle . . . they have a lot of great songs. I was fortunate enough to see them (along with The Vandals) open for No Doubt. I can't find a concert DVD either, but now I want one. Thanks a lot! rplace
Don't forget Pretty Pink Ribbon. There are so many good songs once you start to listen and I mean listen to them. Very tlented...and funny too. Get going O, find me that DVD!
Olorin
Italian Leather Sofa is probably my fave. And yes, they are very funny, if dry and sardonic is your thing. Oh wait -- you're a tech guy. Dry and sardonic is given.
scott0527
"How much did you pay for your bad Moto Guzzi?" I love the lines in that song. I saw Cake live back in the day! I'm not aware of a DVD yet but then again, I've never looked for one. You'd think there must be one out there.
