rebel7sleg
Well I'm new to the site so here goes... I need help with a set of Heresys I purchased. First, they are not 3 way...just a K53H (horn) and K22? (woofer), E2 (crossover). They are black (birch?)they do not appear to be mdf. The initials THFB are stamped on them. Serial numbers are 161y### (built June of '83). I also have a set of Rebel 7s which I will be asking about soon. Please any info will help. Thanks! rebel7sleg
I do think they were "installed" at some point as there are some small screw holes in the bottom of both of them. Is their a spec sheet available on this version of the Heresy? Jeff
djk
The K53 may be equalized in the network to go out to 14Khz, but there is not as much high end as you would think because the dispersion is narrow up there. Original Dolby for theaters only required 7Khz from the surround speakers.

Compairing them to unmodified 3 way Heresys they actually sound better (the 2way that is), as the problem with the 3ways is integration between the woofer and the tweeter...meaning that the tweeter is more efficient than the woofer. I still would like it if someone could post a link or email me a copy of the schematic for the crossover as I would like to tinker a little. Thanks!
