Here it is. I'm building a HT for my girlfriend. we are only going with 3 speakers and a ksw-10. She has a budget of 1k. I can get some brand new rb-3's and find a rc-3II on e-bay. Do u guys think, that would be better than a new 25 series? Rb-25's and the Rc-25. She doesn't have allot of room to work with.

Do you think the older 3's will be better? It's a tough decision. I have some rb-5II's and love them. That's why i was considering that route.

I personally think going with the RB-3 with an RC-3II center would get you a better setup than the '25s.

However, the '25s are a good set, but definitly, if you can swing it, go with the higher. General rule of thumb when it comes to Klipsch - buy as big and as high-up the line as your budget and space allows. I.E., if cannot decide between Synergy and Reference, go Reference. If cannot decide between '25 and '35s, go '35s, etc.

Since space is an issue and women usually don't like big speakers, the Reference sattelites may not be a bad choice. 2 RSX-5 for the Front, 2 RSX-4 for the Back and one RCX4 for center, and you have money left for a RW8 sub.

Actually there is ebay auction going on for 4RSX-4 and one RCX4.

I have to disagree with the RSX selections. Seems like not much more than a pretty quintet system. Did one for my brother and it's horribly inadequate. Stick to the RB lineup if you want to spend any quality time with this gal!Insert smilie <img src='http://forums.klipsch.com/idealbb/images/smilies/2.gif'>
