RB-75 Mount

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I need to mount an RB-75 and need some input on the best way to do it. The speaker needs to mount with it's side, rather than it's back, against the wall. It needs to sit as flush as possible. Since there are no keyholes I thought of making a shelf, but that isn't going to work where I need it. So I need a mount that is as invisible as possible from the front of the speaker (to please the wife) but that can hold the speaker "sideways" like this. Any input greatly appreciated!

Shadowtester, that's the kind of mount I'd like to use, but it's also the type the wife hates! Here's a photo looking at the rear of the room where this speaker will mount. It will be pointing in the general direction of the camera (it's a rear center).

I went to a small metal/welding shop with some specs for a projector bracket and a RC 35 bracket 20 min later and $5 bucks I had them.!!

In your case I would use 1/8 steel.

Look around for a scrap piece about 8 inches wide.

Have them bend it into a 90 degree L.

I would make it about 10 x 12 inch L.

Paint it Black,

Drill holes thru metal screw into wall.

Drill 2 holes through the plate the same spread as the threaded inserts on the bottom of the speaker.

Bolt speaker to stand.

Pad between speaker and bracket with foam rubber or something like that. I used a thin beverage koozie.

Good Luck

Gib
