mlprice
I was trying to match surrounds to my system, KLF20 for L & R, KLF C7 for the center, Denon 3802 receiver. Used mostly for HT. Room is 24' wide, 18' deep. Need white surrounds, RS3's can only find black SS1's can only find black. Any suggestions?

mlprice
EQ I live in Houston. How did you like the RS3's as surrounds, and why are you thinking about changing?
mlprice
PhilH; Are you still using the RS7's? If so, are the on the side rear or both? I'm not only debating which surrounds to use but if the rear are really necessary. I love the KLF 20's and C7.
PhilH
mlprice: I'm still using RS-3's with my KLF-30's and KLF-C7. With your Denon you have the advantage of a set of surround/rears for HT and one set for 5-channel music that you can switch between. My Onkyo 777 does not allow me that option. I want RS-7's to replace my RS-3's due to their better efficiency (my right rear needs to be cranked to the max setting)and their deeper bass (which has surprised a lot of people in trainings I have done with them). Since I have a barely tolerable non-Klipsch sub at present time, I'm hoping the added rear bass will lessen my dependence on the sub until I can latch onto an RSW-15 as my second upgrade. My surrounds are on my rear wall. The ideal for 5 channel music in your case would be another set of KLF-20's for the rear added to RS-3's or RS-7's for side surrounds for HT. If 5 channel music is no big deal to you,I say skip the rears. PhilH
T2K
And just to add to Phil's comments,I'm finding I like the 7-channel stereo with my 3801.
