theryugobuddy
Great interview-- I was only seven years old when I first heard Hendrix -- "All Along the Watchtower" was on the jukebox. Its still incredible to hear that song almost 40 years later. I remember that alot of people then thought he was just a showman who played nothing but wild out-there guitar freak-outs, but time has shown what an incredible songwriter and arranger he was. And yes, he played solos, but he always was concerned with the rhythms and dynamics of each song. Whenever I hear that debut album, it blows me away how consistently fresh, creative and rhythmic it is-- its always a great listen. And that was just the beginning--
magnum29
Thanks for the link. I remember when the Spanish castle was still around. There exists a shopping mall there now. Jimi was great.
