toussi1
www.partsexpress.com has some acoustic stuffing called Acousta Stuf; it says it is suppose to deepen the bass of any enclosure. Well, will this stuff deepen my KSW-12 bass response? Maybe make the below 30HZ range more output? Thanks. ------------------ http://www.autodirectsave.com This message has been edited by toussi1 on 09-20-2001 at 07:25 PM
sseymour
In a sealed system, adding stuffing will increase the apparent interior volume of the box. Basically, it makes the woofer "think" it's in a box bigger than it actually is. Unfortunately, I don't know what the effect is on a vented system, which the KSW is. -Scott ------------------ KG-4 Fronts RC-3 Center Infinity Reference 1 Surrounds Sony DB830
TheEAR
Sseymour is right, the KSW subs are vented(ported)designs and the stuffing may help...only a tiny bit. The sub may be less boomy, but deeper bass? HMMM Try it,just dont get electrocuted like I,the shock can be a real wake up and smell the roast you know. And the other time I was zapped when trying to open a finished camera with a knife! LOL The capacitor(s) for the flash ...flashed my BIOS!
