Can anyone who uses a denon 3803 or 5803 receiver help me, please? I am considering one of these and I have the following questions: 1.) How well does the video conversion work? This is the feature where it can take an S-Video source and send it out to the monitor as component. 2.) Is there a perceivable difference in the amount of bandwidth (50MHz for the 3803 & 100MHz for the 5803) that is usable for component video signal? I would have consiered the 4802 but it doesn't do video conversion, and I would like to have only one video output going to the tv. Anything else that can be contributed here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -Scott

From what I've heard here, I would look into the outlaw audio seven channel monster. On the plus side I think it goes for "only" $1,799 or so. I think that's my next purchase. -Scott

If this happens one time at some point in the middle of a movie it could be the player switching between layers on the DVD. Not all DVDs are dual layerso this wouldn't happen on all DVDs and it would not happen more than once per movie. Hope this helps. -Scott

Echostar, the company that runs Dish Network, and Hughes, the company that runs Direct TV, are awaiting approval on a merger. Neither company will tell which hardware will be used when/if the merger goes through. I have Dish Network and I want to upgrade my receiver but I am hesitant to do so fearing that it may not work in a matter of a few months. -Scott

The grills come off my Forte IIs. Just not real easily. They seem to fit more deeply into the speaker than my KG 4s. They are held on by magnets. -Scott

Black bars can be a bad thing. If you watch a majority of your programs with the black bars, these can burn into your screen.
