eglinski
I'm pretty much a newbie here but maybe you guys can help me. While I was in the process of damping my horns, like I read all about on this BB, I came across something a little strange to me. Unscrewing the driver from the horn on one speaker I found a rubber washer between them. So far so good. On the other K-horn there was no washer between the driver and the squawker horn. Is this a problem? Is there supposed to be a rubber washer or not? And, if there is, what is the purpose of the washer? And the strange thing is that I bought the pair of K-horns brand new in 1985 and have never taken the drivers off, so they came from the factory that way. Hmmm. Thanks! - Ed
Q-Man
There should be a washer. It makes an air tight seal and also provides resistance so the driver won't vibrate loose. Q. ------------------ Q-Man
WMcD
I think you should call 1800KLIPSCH and ask for Trey Cannon. I'll bet he'll send you an additional washer. BTW, he is in the running for the funniest man in Hempstead County. He is in the running with the Director of the Chamber of Commerce.
