Glenn
It matters if you live in the South MDF has a thing about coming a part in moisture. Here in Louisiana the hunidity is high all year long. A good grade of plywood is not effected. MDF is what cheep furniture is made of and you see how long it last. For the price they ask I would like to have PLYWOOD. MY son house got 3" of water. Both for his KSF 10.5 got the bottom wet. I had to build new enclosure for both. The MDF swole up and seperated Thanks to Katrina. In time MDF will fail. I wounder what Paul Klipsch would have say. Let's see cut cost are what he built HIS company in QUALITY I have only been a fourm member for a short time and all I here is the Klipschorn are the only speaker. I agree. I would hate to see the quality of the K-horn change for poor constrution material Glenn

djk
IMO as an owner of 50s vintage Klipschorns, and as a Klipsch dealer in the 70s through the late 80s, the best years for the Klipschorn were 1978~1982.

IB Slammin
swole? it sounds better than it spells....LOL Michael (swelled?- not a grammar major) Well, here in Arkansas, "swole up" would be proper. Example: I sprung my ankle, and it swole up like a dog tick.[:|] Terry
