CF-4

Well I got to hear the CF-3's in an AB comparison against lascalas,

cornwalls, KSB1.1, RB3, RB5 and what else am I forgetting? Anyways, I

would choose both the lascala and cornwall over the CF-3's. The 3-way

designs simply had better highs and better low mids.

Btw, no way are they worth $1200/pair...I don't think they even retailed for that much.

Hmmm, so maybe there are a bit more expensive than I thought...

Btw, the CF-3 and CF-4 use the same HF unit, so be prepared to find it

a bit lacking in the highs (and this was powered by a yammy reciever

which should have exagerated the high if anything...so not the amp)

[;)] The only reason I wouldn't say they were worth that much is

because you can get better sound from cheaper speakers. I can imagine

though that the CF-4 bigger brother might be able to compete with the

cornwall bass a bit better...

I was telling colter that I would love to convert them to a KLF style

setup...put the woofers on top of each other, then the squaker and then

add a seperate tweeter to make it a 3-way.

Well, I understood Roy to say he was working on his own at home on time delay with Khorns using a Behringer crossover.

A couple of others have posted that no way Roy has Khorns, that his stuff is all his own home brew.

I don't take the two statements to be necessarily mutually exclusive. I may have hallucinated Roy telling me that.
