TheSoundBroker
I am in the process of building up a 1000 ft2 theater demo room and am trying to gauge interest in having a place where consumers can go to hear a Klipsch pro cinema theater setup that could realistically be used in a large residential theater w/screen wall. I will have the other suspects on display as well (THX Ultra 2, Reference, Heritage) but if there was a place you could go to hear a Pro Cinema setup in a consumer setting...would you do it? Considering the following... 3 KPT 335N Cinema speakers 2 pr KPT-1201 surrounds. I'm set for subwoofers (a Danley DTS-20 will serve as sphinctor tickler). MrMcGoo
I believe that sales of pro gear would not justify the space, but the demos would be some of the best on the west coast. It may help get folks in the store and would help Klipsch sales in general IMO. Folks building big houses may want the real deal. Folks may drive up from Seattle just to get the full tour. IndyKlipschFan
The only place I have heard the pro gear not in say a movie theater has been the NCAA Hall of champions here in Indy. It does sound great too. I would love to A vs B, the pro stuff as well. Do it.. And let us know what you think too.
JeffDurbin
In all honesty, I don't even know where Bellingham is located (other than in WA) so if I told you I had any interest I would be lying.
colterphoto1
Yes, absolutely, wish we had something like that around here. Best buys doesn't even have Klipsch in the Magnolia room around here. Even Ovation does not have a single large Klipsch HT setup currently. No pro gear to be found anywhere. I don't even know if I could find any at my local PA or guitar shop. Good thinking! merkin
Sure I'd visit it , but only when I'm in Wa. visiting my sister in law. Would be a good reason to get out of the house.
TheSoundBroker
In all honesty, I don't even know where Bellingham is located (other than in WA) so if I told you I had any interest I would be lying. Bellingham is pretty much the most northerly city on the West Coast. We are 40 miles south of Vancouver BC, about 100 miles north of Seattle. Mount Baker is just outside town for all you ski fans and Victoria is just a ferry ride away. I'm still debating it but leaning towards doing it. We set it up so anybody serious about it could get a travel reimbursement if they came in for a listen and bought a system. It certainly would give us something to brag about! colterphoto1
Instead of an entire matched cinema, why not one stack each of several types for different budgets?
Bill H.
SB, Though the Idea sounds Wonderful, Would you really get a good return on your cost for setting something like that up? Plus the time you or your sales people will have to spend with those customers- who may or may not even truly buy Anything!.............Just your voice of reality...... Isn't the adage for every 10 customers, you might get 3 people interested, and of those only 1 might buy?...................
