ChrisK
Does anyone know the best way to play music from my laptop to my 2-channel system? I know how to play mp3's, but I would like to play some streaming audio content from RealPlayer. I listen to a radio station from Northern California (KPIG) while at work and would love hear it over my system at home. Thanks in advance, Chris
Daddy Dee
You need a Y adapter to go from an 1/8" stereo mini plug to RCA plugs. Radio Shack and others have these in various lengths. Just run out of your headphone jack on the laptop into Aux inputs.
ChrisK
Thanks for the help. That sounds easy enough for even me to accomplish. Is there a way to do it wireless? Chris
colterphoto1
just plug the wire in, why have it sound worse just to be wireless? It's the same wire used to go from walkman or portable cd players into stereos. Every Radio Shack has it. Michael
ChrisK
Ok, ok, I got it. I'll forget the wireless part and use the Monster cable my son uses for his iPod. Thanks for the help, Chris
Shade
Thanks for the help. That sounds easy enough for even me to accomplish. Is there a way to do it wireless? Chris There are several products out there that let you stream MP3s, Internet music, & compressed video wirelessly. Here's Newegg's selection : http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Submit=list&SubCategory=484 If you decide to go this route, I'd check out http://www.tomshardware.com . They have reviewed several products that do what you are looking for.
