Forum archives are extensive (maybe as big as this one). Search for answers before posting "newbie" questions, they are not nearly as friendly as we are here (i.e., some perennial egomaniacal a-holes who love to flame novices). Another one focused (pun, ha-ha) specifically on portrait photography is www.zuga.net. It is not as much of a forum as it is an instructional website. I belong to New England Institute of Professional Photography, they have a school in West Falmouth MA every spring that's extraordinary.
