Joe Shmoe
These are the types of movies that really scare the umm ehem, "poop" out of me lol. I can deal with Jason, Freddy Kruger, etc.. but when it comes to good versus evil in a more spritual way, it seems more real to me. Some have said that the original Excorcist is the scariest movie of all time & I would say this movie is very similair to that. The Exorcism of Emily Rose was based on a true story and doesn't get quite as graphic as The Excorcist, but it does have it's moments. I would really recommend seeing this if you are into this type of genre. The audio portion was excellent as well. There were plenty of scenes where my sub was just a crankin Over all I give it an 8, or two thumbs up!
m00n
Yeah I dunno man. I seen the Exorcist when I was about 10 years old. Geeked me out for months. I don't care for these kinds of movies either. I seen The Ring a year or so ago and that still tweaks my head.
Moderators Amy Posted January 10, 2006 Moderators Share Posted January 10, 2006 I just watched this last night! The majority of the movie was not what I would call a typical horror movie, but a courtroom drama involving an exorcism ritual gone bad. Quite thought provoking really. I'll have to admit though, the parts that were "horror" scared me, too! Very well done.
lovedrummin
My wife and I watched this several nights ago. It was better than I expected. I'm not a horror buff, but this wasn't a real horror movie. It was more like a combination of horror and Law & order. I was just glad I didn't wake up at 3:00 a.m. in a nervous sweat. neo33
I have been waking up exactly at 3:00AM every morning and found myself sweating eversince I watched the movie. Some nights, I wait till after 3:00AM and then sleep. This movie is beyond horror.
strutter
i thought it was a very well made move but not a very good horror flick. but then i don't scare easily. It takes a lot to freak me out.
