colterphoto1
The localizeability increases as the room gets bigger and is at a maximum outdoors. Exactly, it's just like in lighting. The sun is huge, I can't tell you how big it really is, I mean a really enormous source of light, right? Except that being so far away, like a really really long ways off, it's now just a pinpoint tiny source of light. You can easily tell where it is in the sky or see the shadow cast by it. jacksonbart
Ok, wait, your upstairs is a wood floor supported probably by wood joists with 8 plus feet underneath it (aka your basement). Two different worlds when comparing bass performance. If its gonna remain down stairs I would reccomend bass traps for placement changes to improve performance, but they are never going to sound the same. For a cement floor, carpet w/ a heavy pad will 'typically' sound better wood on top of concrete or concrete alone. Good luck

Joe Shmoe
I can see what your saying Michael. I used to have mine upstairs on the main floor also & it did rattle everything like crazy... you are right there! Moving to the basement made the bass more tighter I think IMO. Still powerful, just tighter.
