kelbad
I was wondering if anyone knows about my old sub. It is not a powered sub. It just says: KG SW WAL OIL I was wondering if the crossover switch should be on Hi or Lo. The owners manual is not that helpful. I have had it sense new, and have always ran it on Hi. I really can not tell a difference. I am building up a home theater setup and am thinking of replacing it with a Velodyne SPL800II. What a great sub in a small form factor. ironwoods
Hi, I think you know more about it, than Klipsch does. http://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=141&s=specs But hey, why not just get one of these Dayton plate amps that Parts Express sells? Maybe the 250 watter? They're on sale now. http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage.cfm?&DID=7&WebPage_ID=3&filter=special-2-23 Nuttin' wrong with Velodyne's either, though. kelbad
I searched all over this forum for more info on this sub, but searching for KG SW is not much help! Have you heard of anyone doing that mod? I might cry cutting into the enclosure. Right now, there is not a mark on it. The small form factor of the SPL800 is VERY tempting! SPINDR
I also have one and trying to update with a new amp, but do not know how to power it when using a pre out on a new Yamaha, other wise it is a nice oak end table
wuzzzer
Any external amp will power it. Plate amp, basic stereo amp, etc
