jwc
Hi, and thanks for the reply. I don't have the midrange or tweeter yet, and there is one other problem I live in the Netherlands and shipping is very expensive and they won't ship outside the US. here's the information on the woofer http://www.visaton.com/english/artikel/art_446_1_9.html Sorry I don't know how to post a link. Wolter That doesn't work on my computer either. closest thing on that site I found was http://www.visaton.com/english/artikel/art_401_1_19.html

jwc
Those two woofers in parallel will get you 4 ohms. You don't wan't series hookup. Typical/modern amps/receivers will handle that load. If you are familiar with WinISD, then you know what cabinet size you need. Now for the tweet and mid...are you going with horns? Do you have something in mind? If so, I can give you an idea of what XO to make. jc
Wolter
Hi, and thanks again for the reply. Yes I already made the drawlings (with paint, please dont laugh[]). And I also choose the tweeter and midrange, they are both titanium dome speakers. The tweeter is 1" and the midrange is 2" they both have a sensetivity of 92 dB, and with 2 woofers that will give me a sensetivity of around 93dB all together. Since the woofers have a sensitivity of 88 dB. And when you add a woofer it will add 6 dB. Please tell me what information you want on them, and I'll give you all the specs. Also could you tell me what XO means? I'm not familliar with that word. Thanks again. Wolter
Bennyboy
Wolter, X = cross O = over Crossover or network Om niet al teveel te hoeven typen op je toetsenbord [] For using simple lettercombinations for fast typing [] Regards, Bennyboy

Wolter
Hi. JC, if you want the information on the squaker and the tweeter then please tell me I can give you all the information on them you need. Wolter
Thank you very much Jc. But I do have a few more questions if you don't mind: Did you calculated the XO for 2 woofers or just one? And when I am gonna built my new speakers, do I hook em up at 4 or 8 ohms to my amplifier? Again many thanks Jc. Wolter
jwc
I will be out of town a couple of days. This is for your two 8 ohm woofers to be wired in parallel. That will make your low frequencies in the 4 ohm range. Just hook one woofer up to the network like the picture shows then hook the second one up to the first woofer in parallel. I would start with hooking them up to you 4 ohm taps. jc
