harman kardon or denon

I'm loving my HK 7300 ... Lots of Power, Plenty of Bells and Whistles,

& an excellent Digital Decoding system... My DTS & Dolby

Digital movies never sounded better...

I went from a Yamaha to an HK and really feel the HK goes very, very well with the Klipsch speakers...

However, I've never owned a Denon, but from what I read... you can't go wrong with a Denon either...

RTTR a fellow forum member and I have talked about alot, in fact all

the recievers and the 7300 is relatively outdated to the competition

but the new 640 or so coming out in a month or so is a vast improvement

Yeah, Jay is right, as I almost bought the AVR-7300 before finding out for the money it's not really worth it anymore, as it is lacking a lot of stuff that say a Denon AVR-3806 offers for the same price if not cheaper. For example the 7300 doesn't have HDMI, a "real" setup mic, room EQ, XM radio also the 7300 uses the same Cirrus DAC and DSP as in the lowest end HK receiver where as the 3806 uses TI DACs which are far superior, the 3806 has more inputs/outputs and the ability to do 9.1 with matrixed surround.

And as for the AVR-4306 that is light years ahead of the HK 7300. But from an authorized dealer the 4306 will be a few hundred bucks more.
