dustwvl
If the rca jack on my wires move move even the least little bit I either get crackling or the sound disapears from that speaker untill I move the wire aound to get the sound back. I read in another post this might be possible to fix by changing the connection or adding some sort of adapter with gold connections. Does anyone have any experience with this working, I love these speakers besides that. I have my back speakers on stands and if I move the stands and it moves the wire where it connects to the speakers I get problems. Please help. justin_tx_16
there is really only one way to fix this. the problem lies in the mini connecter and by getting agold plated one instead of aluminum will fix this. i think these are aluminum.... correct me if i am way wrong. but i do know that gold plated plugs work ------------------ -justin I am an amateur, if it is professional help you want email Amy or call her toll free @ 1-888-554-5665

dustwvl
The gold connectors worked. They are only like $2.50 a piece a Radio Shack. I just got the solderless ones and connected them to the standard wires. Everything is fine now.
justin_tx_16
i think that if you can purchase a $279+ speaker system, you can splurge for some gold plated mini plugs LoL! Just get some and that will fix it. also cleaning the old ones with alcohol has worked a few times for some on the board, especially those who had the crackling just start, dirty connections. good luck! ------------------ -justin I am an amateur, if it is professional help you want email Amy or call her toll free @ 1-888-554-5665
WingZero
So if I get four gold-plated solderless plugs from Radio Shack, all I need to do is to cut off the current aluminum 1/8" miniplug, strip the wire a little, and screw the leads into the new plugs? Thanks.
