thewolf
I'm a newbie to the forum and the Klipsch family. Just brought a set of '84 Lascala's into my livingroom. I like the raw look of the speakers but my wife says I better make them look nicer or they go out to the garage. They do not have any finish on them and have a few small (less than a quarter inch) of missing pieces of lamanent on the corners. Looking for some advice on how to patch the missing lamanent (ie, wood filler, etc) and how to put on a finish. Do I need to remove the speaker components before sanding and applying the finish? Any and all advice is welcome. Thanks, Gary
edwinr
My brand new La Scalas are raw birch finish as well. I haven't decided whether to go oil or lacquer. But check out the attached link; http://home.insightbb.com/~jpaquay/ There's some great information on wood finishing on this site.

classichits
This is just an idea. My 1978 LaScalas were black finish. My brother oak veneered them.
