Corvette6769
I have been working with Hal to purchase this from him for a center channel between my Klipschorns. While he has it listed as a 1970, this is actually the same single 1971 Cornwall C-WO-15 with wood grill and RV-2 base Serial #1J922 that he Hal got from Jo Gilbert, who told me a couple weeks ago that her dad had added the 6x9 car speakers to this cabinet for use with his TV. Apparently her dad thought he knew more than Paul Klipsch.
lwhaples
Still, A nice looking Cornwall. At least they aren't hidding what's inside. Larry
Daddy Dee
Interesting. Sometimes people don't know how good something is, before they chop it up. Fortunately, it wouldn't be hard to repair, and wouldn't be visible through the grill cloth. Will make an interesting conversation piece, when talking to another geek who would actually be interested in looking inside the box. meagain
Corvette - too bad he only has one cuz I'd split them with you. I wonder if he has the mate and is keeping it himself. Very cool looking. I'd like to learn more about this oddball grill. I've never seen one before.
Corvette6769
No mate - the woman he got this from told me that her dad purchased this in 1971 as a single speaker.
meagain
If they are 1971's, wouldn't they be decorators and not have a black motorboard? I'm confused about this. It appears from the inside to not be a decorator? Otherwise, I can't imagine someone would cut holes in it.
