bobs2010
does tube space charge count in a tube type pre amp if you are using a cd player for input? what is the ouput from a cd? is a nice tube pre/amp going to help take out the nasty edge from a cd? what is the output voltage from a cd player? DRBILL
I suppose that has never been asked before on the forum --at lease not in those words. Anybody?
jcmusic
First yes, a tube pre-amp will help in talking the harshness out. Second most newer cd's output is about 2volts rms from the analog outputs. I use a tube stage buffer in front of my pre-amp in my SS rig makes quite a difference.
