well since this is a stereo receiver I guess my question is better served here. Anyone have them? Comments? concerns? I think it provides wonderful specs and sound, I heard them for an exception price. Basically it is the same specs in wattage and thd etc as the 7.1 systems just made for stereo. Most people say they have good experiences with HK in general, so does anyone have it as it costs 250 dollars..... I think people will have preconcieved notions....

I can't believe you revived it but I have it on my rf-83 for now and I think they sound wonderful for the price and they have good bass. I remember a few others have it and they commented it was good. I think someone had them and then brought a set amp and said the sound sucks now......

I find it unnecessary on the treble knob as it only makes it sound harsh on the rf83. The bass I think it starts around 120 hertz and so. It does make the midrange a bit hot so it might pass 120 hertz. To be honest, my speakers I doubt need it so its middle. When i change it I usually bring it back in a few minutes or the next time I listen to it I would be what's wrong? oh the knob........ I use the bass knob at -10 db at night listenings.

The Vmax is better for movies as for music it sounds like the music is being reflected all over which it is! But for movies its ok. It does boost the db a bit to compensate I believe. Also bass and treble is boosted, think eq V ed. It is most akin to creative soundcards the crmss or whatever it is called.
