haef23
Hello All, Can someone give me suggestions on what center and rear speakers I should buy to fit with our current equipment? I'm looking to update my 5.1 surround sound for our new basement. We have klf20's floor speakers, ksw12 sub, amd a yamaha rx-v596 receiver. According to a local dealer, my center speaker (sc5) is severly under powered. So I'd like to buy one that will work well with the speakers we have now. We also need some in-ceiling speakers for the rear. What center and rear in-ceiling speakers do you suggest for the equipment we have? We don't want to be under powered but DON'T want to over-spend either. We're trying to keep our spending to a minimum. Here's are the specs for the speakers we have:http://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=11&s=specshttp://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=55&s=specs Thanks. Joe Shmoe
Well The KLF-C7 is the optimal choice for your center channel. It is discontinued, but check eBay, or Audiogon, or keep an eye out on the forum here for one to pop up for sale. As for the In wall surrounds... I don't know enough about them to give an accurate suggestion.
dantfmly
There weren't in wall surrounds for the KLF series. Heck there weren't any surrounds made for them at all. Klipsch suggested using the KSP-S6's (from senergy premier series) for surrounds for the KLF series.
rlr267
Your choice on Ceiling speakers is limited. Check out the Klipsch CDT-5800-C. It has an 8 inch driver which I beleive is the largest ceiling mount Klipsch makes. The tweeter pivots about a driver that can be tilted and rotated in a gimble to give you the ability to aim for the sweet spot. Someone with more knowledge should be able to tell you if the driver in the 3800 is a better match based on the materials comprising the drivers.
