This is why I want to purchase an HDCD changer to fully get the most out of these discs ( If they really do sound better on HDCD chipped players). I don't know why most of the HDCD releases were on country albums but there are some great ones on my list. If anyone has more titles they know of please post. Thanks. The HDCD 'encode' is basically a dynamic range compression and the HDCD 'decode' is a dynamic range expansion. Some people like HDCD discs on regular players are it makes the lower level details more obvious (dynamic compression). Some people like HDCD discs 'decoded' for my dynamic range.
