artto
Any thermionic-techno freaks here on the Forum that are building, or care to build low power OTL mono power amps, possibly similiar or based on the Futterman H3aa?
Guest " "
I was looking into this...but I found a company in asia that sells paired mono block OTL push-pull amps for a little less than $800 a pair. The specs were awesome. So that's my bench mark...have been looking...but have not seen to many OTL offerings.

Guest " "
yes. look at the bandwidth (+/- 1 db), distortion, and signal to noise ratio. 40 WPC. see specs below. I want to buy something new...do not want to fiddle with a long and drawn out restoration process. I looked into current amp offerings, but this was the only OTL i could find. was thinking of making my own, but I do not think I could make for less than 800 for 2 mono blocks. What do you think...any forum members want to chime in. Frequency: 10Hz-100KHz +/-1 dB Signal/Noise Ratio: >95dB Distortion: less than 0.1% Input Sockets: RCA Gold Plate Dimension: (WxDxH)200mm×430mm×210mm AC Power: 220-240Vor 110-115V Weight: 10kg Input Consumption: 300W Output tube: 6N5P x 4 Input/Driver tube 12AX7 x 1, 6N6 x 1 Power: 40watts, 8ohm
Daddy Dee
Artto, I don't know if they are similar on the Futterman amp, but Erik Mandaville built several of the SE OTLs by Bruce Rozenblit. I had a couple of these and they sounded fabulous.
