Moderators dtel's wife Posted June 17, 2006 Moderators Share Posted June 17, 2006 Our cruise director is THE BEST!!!! He has done a wonderful job so far and I am sure tonight will be great. He was a little "frazzled" yesterday, but is "feeling much better today".[]
Moderators dtel's wife Posted June 17, 2006 Moderators Share Posted June 17, 2006 One other thing...no offense Mr. and Mrs. Picky you guys are doing a wonderful job of documenting our Pilgramage. But...in my opinion there is no camera that can adequately portray the beauty of the 60th edition Klipschorn. It is mesmerizing.

Moderators dtel's wife Posted June 17, 2006 Moderators Share Posted June 17, 2006 Jay, They are "lacewood". The tops have a piano finish. They are so pretty. I couldn't believe how nice they look. They also have a commemorative plaque for the 60th anniversary built in. Not only that there is a see through area in the back of the speaker exposing the crossovers. I saw the pics on the Klipsch site, but I can tell you these things are pleasing to the eye.
J.4knee
During the tour today my batteries in my digital camera went kaput (grrrrr) So I have a favor to ask from those who took pictures. Could I ask you to e-mail me some of your picture of plant and museum.

It looks like they placed the wood like a checkerboard.
Parrot
How about pics of the backside (of the speakers, not the attendees).
J.4knee
One thing that is not visible is the connection pannel. I asked Trey and he was even a little befuddled. But dtel's wife is correct no camera does them justice these things a absolutely stunning. But alas you gotta go to Europe to get them. All 200 pairs are spoken for by a European distributor,
Jay481985
I did some photoshop to enhance the picture to better see the wood grain And I think on the top it is checkboard style while the bottom seems to have longer strips. Sorry J4Knee, I randomly chose a picture.
