picky
Indy: "Whining"? Really, Roger? I could have sworn this thread asked us for our opinions about the live music. Um...that's what I gave. Sorry if you don't respect what others and I had to say, old buddy. *Ouch*! []
IndyKlipschFan
opinions are like ________ everybody has one.. OK Picky maybe from you I can respect your opinion.. I meant some others who were not there..reading this or from other people who were inside who never went outside to give it a chance? That was my point really. You worked your rear off Glenn. (and thank you) I wonder if the sound of pail was good or not that you captured?
picky
Thanks, Roger. I understand. I wouldn't really say "worked" because it was more like fun to me. You're welcome, any way. Filming the bands was pure enjoyment for me; it's what I do for relaxation. Verna was well entertained talking to the other wives, so I didn't feel so guilty about standing there for 4 hours straight with Dr. Who close behind and only going to see her on the breaks. We both had a blast. We didn't get home until the following Friday evening and we had to hit the deck running when we got home: grass needed mowing, weeds needed pulling, etc., etc. Plus, I am doing some digging in the back yard in prepartion for the installation of a new privacy fence. So, with that said, I am struggling to find time to review all of the video footage for the first time (I shot over 9 hours of footage on our trip). Initally, Dr. Who, Trey and I had the sound patched directly into the camera from the sound board. I could hear it overloading the front end on the camera through the headphones and we could not find a happy medium with the trim pots, so I had to unplug the direct line and go for broke with the on-camera, stereo mic. I rode the volume levels manually, while watching the VU meters on the camera's flip-out screen. I sure hope it's going to sound alright. Trey tried to record a 5.1 mix from the board onto a PC, but the program kept crashing, so I don't know how much he was able to salvage. He said he'd be bringing a copy with him when he comes up for the BBQ here in August. Hopefully, I will get a mix out of it all for our video. -Glenn
