This one is based on the National Semiconductor LM3875 audio chip. Basically a mono amplifier chip. Very simple, cheap and easy to make. Good, I'm glad you're finding some use for it. It looks like you may have taken a little polishing compound to it (?). I'm sorry I missed that Bottlehead meeting here. That would have been fun.
