Zip-Ties are very effective for permament solutions but are annoying as heck when you try to move stuff around. One thing you might consider instead of zip-ties are those hair ties with the two balls on them. You can usually find them at Walgreens:

(I guess they call them pony tail holders?)

These are what we use in the studio, but we're also moving cables around all the time too. Here's a pic to get a better idea:

Your local radio shack will have cable wrap stuff that I've used to great success in a few other occasions:

I used to use zip ties, but like the prevoius post suggests. When it comes time to move a wire or two you have to cut them off.

I have found at the rat shack a black plastic tubing that as a slit in the middle from one end to the other in comes in all sizes from quarter inch round to two inches round. You can put about 6 sets of speaker wire in one of the larger split tubings and it looks very clean. I would post a pic if anyone is interested
