media2368
Hi, My uncle from US has given me a Acurus A150 power amp. At the rear of the panel it stated "120V AC 60HZ 6A and 230V AC 60HZ 3A", so does it mean that I can connect it with 230V AC power supply? Hope all gurus here can advise me on this.[] Thank you. JohnA
There should be a switch near the power cord on the back panel. If it is in the 230V position you can safely connect it to 230/240 volts.
media2368
Thanks, I don't remember seeing a switch there, let me double check when I back from my vacation.
media2368
I have checked and there isn't any 'Switch' near the power cord, it only said 120V AC 60HZ 6A and 230V AC 60HZ 3A. Is there anyone here from Mondial can advise?
Steve Donalson
There is no 120/220 switch on the rear panel. Unfortunately, it's not quiet that easy. In order to perform a voltage conversion the transformer must be changed. We no longer have stock of these transformers. Likely your best option would be to use a step-up/step-down transformer. Just be sure to get a transformer large enough to handle the wattage, max W is around 1200W. The label on the back is advising what fuse value to use corresponding to the voltage the unit is set up for. If 120V, a 6 amp slow blow, if a 230V the fuse value is 3 amp slow blow. djk
The real question is: Do you need 50hz? (and) will the stock transformer run on 50hz? Don't go shopping until you get the answer.
