If I get a tube pre-amp, would that hookup to my SS amp and give me a tube sound? I was wondering about playing with tubes but I wanted to do it on the cheap. However, be forwarned; as with other types of equipment, the cheaper it is, usually the lousier it is and the worse it sounds. As you may very well know, some won't even touch cheap tubes.
