AZNracerx1989
To theear and other people.. I read about how alot of people like the paradigm for its musical capabilities... When talking about it, are you refering to the V1 or the V2 model? I would want a V2, but the V1 is much cheaper used.
AZNracerx1989
Can anyone answer this question? Also, should I get a pw-2200 or SVS for a musical subwoofer? I am 100% music.
TheEAR
Either version is great, the second version has a bit more output. Both the PW2200 ver1 and 2 are very good subs. Should you get SVS? Depends what deal you get on the PW2200. SVS is a good choice, only too many people portray them as world beaters, they are not.

Would any SVS match that for music?
Islander
About $100 extra to get the current model? Sounds like the better bet. Pat on the Island
AZNracerx1989
I have a problem though... my preamp does not have a subwoofer preout. The newer version does not have Binding posts. I am asking Chuckears something though. He said you can use the Tape out on my preamp to connect to the subwoofer somehow. *Edit* Can the 2 channel preamp's out for the front speakers be plugged into the low level input on the subwoofer, then the High pass output to the Ampflifiers? TheEAR
To answer the last post...YES. You have to use well insulated interconnects. The loss in transparency should be at a level where it is not audible.
AZNracerx1989
Is the sound similar to using High level Input and Output binding posts on a subwoofer equipped with them if you connect the subwoofer this way?
TheEAR
I would not use high pass, use line level.I had negative experiences trying high level.
AZNracerx1989
What do you mean by bypass and line level? Sorry I am a noob to subwoofers.
TheEAR
Means do not use the high level amp to sub...to speakers). High end subs do not even offer high pass. RSW,RT,JL,Wilson...and I can go on. Line level is all that is needed. You go from the preamp out to the sub LINE IN..from Line OUT on the sub to ..line in on the amp.Use well shielded and shortest run possible.
