fourxjake
I have a problem with the K55V squaker in one of my cornwalls 1's. It doesn't seem to put out anywhere near as loudly as the other, but it is working somewhat so I know the voice coil isn't open. Is the diaphram bad perhaps?? Can someone who has fried one in the past advise? Can you get just the diaphrams and if so, does anyone have a source. I have already eliminated the crossover as the source of the problem. Thanks for your help. Jake
JohnA
A small amount of difference is often the voice coil rubbing, probably due to excessive heat. For a really large difference in output I'd look at the crossover for bad solder joints or bad components. first swap the K-55-V from one speaker to the other. If the low output moves it's the driver. You should be able to get it overhauled for about $75. John
