Dennis Lamb Posted November 27, 2001 Posted November 27, 2001 I have a pair of La Scala speakers that I have greatly enjoyed over the past 10 years. My question is, are there updates that need to be made to these speakers when they get a little age on them? If so, what are they and what cost are involved? Can I make these myself? There are no dealers in my area. Dennis Lamb Quote
WMcD Posted November 27, 2001 Posted November 27, 2001 You'll get a lot of support from members. People like damping the midrange with Mortite. Al K.'s crossovers get rave reviews. There may or may not be a reason to consider a "P-Trap" mod helpful to you. As far as I know, the factory is not suggesting any major changes. Welcome to the forum. You're gonna like it here. JohnA Posted November 28, 2001 Posted November 28, 2001 One pair of my La Scalas is 20 years old and did not "need" any updates. I have modified them slightly, but many would say it wasn't needed. The speakers hold up VERY well for dozens of years. John Quote
