I have a pair of La Scala speakers that I have greatly enjoyed over the past 10 years. My question is, are there updates that need to be made to these speakers when they get a little age on them? If so, what are they and what cost are involved? Can I make these myself? There are no dealers in my area.

You'll get a lot of support from members.

People like damping the midrange with Mortite.

Al K.'s crossovers get rave reviews.

There may or may not be a reason to consider a "P-Trap" mod helpful to you.

As far as I know, the factory is not suggesting any major changes.

One pair of my La Scalas is 20 years old and did not "need" any updates. I have modified them slightly, but many would say it wasn't needed. The speakers hold up VERY well for dozens of years.
