xdetroitx
I have rs-42 surrounds and they need to be mounted from the wall. Id say they weigh 10lbs.. Does anyone know a good speaker mount brand for these? And to mount them do I really have to screw holes in them? Sounds like speaker abuse to me!! jamesV
I just got wall mounts for my RS-62's and they are OmniMount, here is there web site http://www.omnimount.com/consumer/Default.aspx. You should be better off since they weigh 10lbs, the 62's weigh 30lbs. On the back of the 62's I have the bolt hole pattern with the pre-screws built in, do the 42's have that also? The OmniMount plate matches the bolt configuration perfect so no need to drill into my speakers. James BTW how is the house coming along? If that is the same mounts you have which omni model did you use?
jamesV
My 62's have a four hole bolt pattern and with the weight of them I had to get the Pro line. I got the WA model, http://www.omnimount.com/pro/product.aspx?p=175. You should be able to get the ones that are rated for 10lbs. The instructions looks like you use a plate at the back of the seaker and it has a two bolt hole position, http://www.omnimount.com/consumer/product.aspx?ProductId=3a5deb96-402c-41dc-bdaf-79a50406e3aa&CurrentId=7.2.1. I hope this helps. James

colterphoto1
Just found out that Omnimount makes a special bracket that ships with some of their stands for the QUINTET III. You remove the Quintet's stand and ball joint, the mounting plate lines up to two of the three screws on the rear/bottom where the swivel was. Call Tech Support at Klipsch if you need more assistance. In order to help others, I'll start a reference guide for Klipsch speakers and stands/mounts if you all would be kind enough to post model numbers and/or photos of your installations. jamesV
MIcheal, That would be cool. OmniMount has a speaker chart on their web site but it doesn't work. I'm putting up my speakers today and I'll try to get a picture loaded today also. Would you like pisture of the plate to the speaker also or just the finished product? I don't know if I can keep detailed instructions and pics available for tech support, but a chart of speakers and mount numbers would be helpful. Internal cup stand mounts for industrial heresies and KP201/KP205's. Klipsch no longer carries an economical replacement. These are only $20 each.
