russ69
Guys, The last pair of large horn driven loudspeakers I listened to were the large floorstanding JBL L-200 StudioMasters (back in the day). Which new Klipsch model will give them a run? I know some of you guys have had both (large Klipsch and large JBL). Anybody want to discuss big Klipsch vs JBL or Lansing? The strengths of the Klipsch sound? Thanx in advance, Russ
Chicago_Pete
The closest I had to the L200 was a pair of Studio 4331's. Nice sounding 2-way. My choice would be Cornwalls, taller but about the same size foot print. Pete
c5vette
Around 72, I had a pair of JBL l200's bought from Crazy Eddie (NY) powered by Phase linear 400 & Harmon Kardon Citation II pre, Dual 1249 tunrtable. Love my Khorns but still think of that system!! Don't think I could give a proper comparision as things were a little cloudy in those days!! jcmusic
Hey Pete, Do you actually run those amps on top of those speakers? Wouldn't there some unwanted vibration from the speakers to the tubes? Jay

TBrennan
The Klipsch speaker comparable to the L-200 is the Cornwall. Many JBL fans consider the L-200 to have flabby and boomy bass and prefer the later L-200B which was "tightened-up". The forums at www.audioheritage.org will have much information and discussion of this, you can search old discussions.
