I agree with PaulN: Why transfer in the first place? Listen to the record. Play other CDs in your car or listen to the radio. There are almost limitless other choices available and there's no good reason that anyone has to play in the car something that he has only on record.

Yes, father dearest.

I have recorded practically every LP I own onto cassette so I could play my favorite LPs in my car's cassette player. I have never owned a disc player in any of my cars (and my present car is a '98). Up until '97 I recorded all my then current CDs onto cassette as well so I could enjoy them whether on my hour long drive to and from work, or on long weekend road trips. For the last 4 years I've worked much closer to home, and so due to time constraints I don't listen to my tapes any longer in my car. Since there's no good reason for me to play recordings of my LPs and CDs in my car due to limitless other choices (which interest me none whatsoever other than NPR radio, except during pledge drives) and because my drive time's so short now, I suppose I should discard my massive cassette collection...I have no business owning 'em now anyway![:(]
