QSC PLX & KLF 30's

I've read so many positive comments on the QSC amps that I'm wondering if anyone has had a chance to try them with the Legend Series KLF 30's. I'm currently using a Rotel 1095. Would I notice a substantial difference in performance in the 2 channel mode?

Yes, they are always on, but at a low speed. I find fans are most

audible, dough, when music (or soundtracks) has a silent moment

preceeded by a loud one... (amp heats up... and then suddeny there is

nothing to mask the fan noise).

I have a QSC and the fan isnt audible even with your ear on the amp. And the QSC I have, I wouldnt trade it for 2 of those Rotels. But to be fair to Rotel the 1095 was designed for multichannel. And so not a fair comparison.

I realise that it'll greatly depend on placement, ambient
noise, and preferences.

I was also using a QSC in room... so I swapped out the
original fan and installed one of the recommended models as per John Gordon (of
QSC) recommendations. They usually use
the high velocity variety because of the possible heavy pro use... but there is
very low risk in installing a low velocity one for home use. The variable speed continues to function,
but the fan is simply turning slower at every preset level.

In my current room, I opted to install my proamp in a separate
room

PS: At the lowest fan setting, my QSC CX was putting out about 65db at the fan mouth before the mod and 57db after. I believe you are using their studio series which should better that right from the factory...

Take it from someone who's had your setup on a smaller scale.

I was using my KLF20's with a Rotel RB1080. I found that the Rotel didn't start to "come together" until after the first 3/4 of a watt. With speakers that are 100db senstive (102db in your case) that got to be a little too loud for what I wanted at the time.

I sold the Rotel and bought a McIntosh MC252 and never looked back.
